Hi, I’m Victoria, the founder of Dawn Health and Counselling and a Counselling Student Intern based in Squamish, BC. I provide affordable phone and video counselling services to individuals (16+), couples, and families across Alberta and British Columbia. For my work in private practice, I am part of Gravitate Counselling Inc., where all bookings for my services are managed.

My counselling practice is built on creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions. I believe that strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust and respect are the foundation for meaningful change. Together, we will work to navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and help you reach your fullest potential.
Counselling
I am particularly passionate about working with neurodiverse individuals, including those with ADHD, autism, developmental disorders, or learning disabilities. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and affirming of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
I take a client-centred and integrative approach to counselling, tailoring every session to the unique needs of each client. Drawing on a range of modalities, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and trauma-informed care, I ensure that your experience is both personalized and effective. I am especially drawn to solution-focused and strength-based therapies to help clients build practical skills and confidence.
Before entering the field of counselling, I worked as a teacher specializing in mental health and special education. I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Education, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Special Education, and a Master’s in Aboriginal Education. Currently, I am completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and am a student member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
My Background
When I’m not working with clients, I love trail running, spending time outdoors with my husband and two wonderful dogs, and decompressing with friends and family. Please consider the photos on the website a small glimpse into how I spend my freetime outdoors. Living and working on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Squamish Nation, I am committed to fostering inclusive and culturally sensitive counselling practices.
Outside of Counselling
My services are offered through the Counselling Student Intern program, allowing me to provide low-cost sessions at $50+GST for 50 minutes. My work is supervised by Andee Dale, a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Approved Clinical Supervisor with the BCACC, ensuring you receive high-quality care.
